The AS Colour Women’s Heavy Crew (4145) provides the premium foundation for this FreshNerdy piece. Made from 11.8 oz heavyweight CVC fleece with 80% cotton and 20% recycled polyester, it combines substantial weight with a relaxed women’s silhouette designed for elevated everyday streetwear.

The artwork features an original Black female character with rich brown skin and natural textured curls, combining unexpected elements of religious-inspired clothing with skate culture, tattoo art, and contemporary street fashion. A black-and-white nun-inspired silhouette is transformed through oversized sunglasses, gold hoops, visible tattoos, jewelry, statement sneakers, and a skateboard.

Rather than treating these influences traditionally, the design deliberately brings contrasting visual worlds together to create a FreshNerdy character centered on individuality, independence, and breaking expectations.

Urban Saint — Break the Rules

The character sits confidently above a skateboard in a dramatic low-angle composition, giving her a dominant presence within the artwork. Her relaxed posture, sunglasses, natural curls, tattoos, and layered accessories contrast sharply with the recognizable black-and-white religious-inspired clothing.

Below, chunky high-top sneakers and a worn skateboard bring the composition firmly into skate and streetwear culture. Small FN marks appear throughout the design, including details on the footwear and surrounding environment, integrating FreshNerdy into the artwork without relying on a large conventional logo.

The environment extends the concept beyond the character. A construction crane, urban buildings, concrete surfaces, weathered graphics, and a distressed orange wall create the feeling of an active city space rather than a polished studio setting.

A saturated electric-blue sky provides the strongest color contrast in the composition. Orange, black, cream, warm brown, and muted gold then build the rest of the palette, giving the artwork the punch of a vintage skate graphic while maintaining the cleaner detail of contemporary anime-inspired illustration.

The rough, distressed outer edges allow the graphic to transition naturally into the Black crewneck, avoiding the appearance of a perfectly clean rectangular print.

The AS Colour Women’s Heavy Crew combines heavyweight fleece with a relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, and inset sleeves. Its pre-shrunk construction helps minimize shrinkage, while 2x2 ribbing at the neck, cuffs, and hem provides structure and helps the sweatshirt maintain its shape.

The substantial fleece weight complements the large-format artwork and gives the finished piece the heavier drape expected from premium contemporary streetwear.
