Bulma — Women’s Heavyweight Streetwear

The AS Colour Women’s Heavy Crew (4145) provides the heavyweight foundation for this FreshNerdy piece. Made from 11.8 oz CVC fleece with 80% cotton and 20% recycled polyester, it combines substantial weight with a relaxed women’s silhouette designed for premium everyday streetwear.

The artwork presents Bulma reimagined as a Black woman, bringing one of anime’s most recognizable style personalities into FreshNerdy’s anime × hip-hop aesthetic. Her warm brown complexion, expressive features and voluminous textured curls give the character a distinctly Black identity, while the signature turquoise-blue hair preserves an instantly recognizable visual cue.

A simple black cropped T-shirt, turquoise denim shorts, bold red belt, gold hoop earrings and matching turquoise nails create a clean Y2K-inspired streetwear look. Instead of surrounding the character with excessive graphics, the composition keeps the focus entirely on her silhouette, expression, hair and styling.

Bulma — Brains, Beauty & Attitude

Bulma has always stood apart through personality, intelligence and fashion. This interpretation pushes that attitude into a contemporary streetwear direction.

Her pose feels relaxed and self-assured: one arm rests behind her head while the other hand sits naturally near her face. The sideways glance and composed expression give the illustration personality without relying on an exaggerated action pose.

The turquoise curls are the visual centerpiece. Rather than using straight anime-style hair, the familiar color is translated into dense, naturally textured curls with visible definition and volume. This allows the design to retain the blue-haired identity associated with Bulma while fitting FreshNerdy’s Black character direction.

The styling is deliberately minimal. The fitted black crop top contrasts against her skin and bright hair, while the washed turquoise denim shorts connect visually with the curls. A saturated red belt breaks up the turquoise and black palette, and oversized gold hoops add a subtle hip-hop influence.

A small FN detail is integrated into the shirt rather than dominating the artwork, keeping the branding understated.

Anime Nostalgia × Y2K Streetwear

The artwork combines classic anime influence, Black representation and late-90s/early-2000s fashion cues without turning the design into a conventional character poster.

There is no heavy background, large title or oversized branding. The isolated character becomes the graphic itself, creating a cleaner apparel-focused composition that works particularly well on both Black and Ecru/Cream garments.

On Black, the turquoise hair, warm skin tone and red belt create strong contrast while the black top visually blends into the garment. On Ecru/Cream, the complete silhouette becomes more pronounced and the turquoise, red and black palette takes on a brighter presentation.
